fixie01.jpg

As promised here she is! I finally put together few parts and pimped up my Pug to a new standard. No more gears for her, just 1 nice 19 teeth fixed cog. Well it's not true, on the other side of the hub I have a 18 teeth freewheel so... all set up and ready to ride. More parts have been ordered and are taking serious time to be dispatched from the states. I promise I will post the complete make over / conversion into single speed, hopefully will be useful to others as well as some blogs have been for me!

Specialized 415 fatboy bmx in Golborne Road, trellick tower

Maybe 35 it's a turning point. If you try not to think about it, someone will probably make you notice that. That's how i felt when I received a wakeup call regarding my post about a BMX (mine...) for sale, the morning of my birthday. The guy, a very "trendy chav" turned up after an hour, picked the bike up and drove off. It's a new day... the truth is that I'm ready to get a fixie! Peter Pan is still alive.

Double decker bus torch relay on Ladbroke Grove 2008 olympic games

This is a picture from my lounge window few seconds before they tried to stop and take down the Olympic torch held from that guy in the middle of the open top bus. The funny thing is that on Ladbroke Grove we've never seen any hybrid car that apparently the council uses. That day these cars were parked strategically every here and there (you can see one behind the bus) just in case the tv camera was recording...

american airstream caravan aluminum silver

I'm pretty sure that i share this dream with many others: to own an Airstream caravan as an hideaway to spend part of the day in. I was outside London, up north, and one of the suppliers that we use for work was converting a big lot of Airstreams into something else: a Falafel stall for Covent Garden, an eco-friendly house, a spare guest room, etc. The shiny metal shell attracted me from the distance and i started taking pictures of them. I'm sure I won't be able to afford one of them anytime soon, especially on the British market as they are sold for 10 times the original price of the antique USA market.
I might start researching to get one over here , I guess I'll have plenty of time to figure it out where to put it...

Emma hope's shoes bag in portobello road

This one happened to me on Saturday when one of my friends gave me a bag with a present for his girlfriend as he was going to a gig and didn't want to carry it. I was hanging out in Portobello Road with another friend of mine so we had a quick drink in one of the busy pubs down the road. Well, when my mate called me a few hours later to ask about the bag i realized that i couldn't remember where it was.
After the quickest run of my life back to the pub, I asked the guy that served us about 3 hours earlier, if he had spotted a white bag. After 5 minutes he gave it back to me.
I was the happiest person in the world! Especially after I found out from the receipt in the bag that I was carrying the most expensive pair of trainers I've ever carried in my life . . .
